Gonorrhea & Stinky Urine
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease that is also known as “The Clap”. Left untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease or infection in the testicles. It is also possible for the infection to spread to other parts of the body, which could cause problems with joints or heart valves.
Men with gonorrhea typically notice a burning sensation during urination and a discharge coming from the penis. While many women with this STD do not have any symptoms, gonorrhea can sometimes cause pain in the pelvic area and vaginal discharge.

Oral sex can transmit gonorrhea and cause an infection of the throat. This sort of infection most often causes no symptoms. In the 10% of people who do show symptoms of a gonorrhea throat infection, a sore throat is noted. Most symptoms appear within 4 to 6 days after acquiring the infection, but gonorrhea’s incubation period is anywhere from 2 to 14 days. Although it is rare, people with compromised immune systems can suffer from the infection spreading to their heart or spinal column.
Treatment for Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is treated with antibiotics. However, the disease is beginning to become resistant to antibiotic treatment, so your doctor will have to decide which antibiotic is best.
Your partner should also be treated for gonorrhea at the same time you are, or you could be re-infected after treatment.
It is very common for people to catch gonorrhea and Chlamydia at the same time, so be sure you are tested for STD’s besides gonorrhea.
